The beach itself is great, and the “free beach” is just beyond the reserved spots, closer to the water. Each apartment gets an umbrella and two loungers there, as well as an umbrella and two recliners by the pool. The beach assignment can change daily, so the routine is to pick up a voucher at reception and take it to the beach office to get that day's spot. The grounds are tidy and attractive, with pretty walkways, a pool area and playground. It feels suited to families. Each apartment has a patio and garden, with hedges between units. Two outdoor beds, an umbrella, plenty of dishes and cooking tools are provided. Sheets and towels cost extra and need to be paid for at check-in.

The pool and beach were both in good shape, and each had a nice restaurant. We had a relaxing week here with the family, helped by really good weather. Our room was set back inside, so it was quiet. The gardener was very helpful, and the pool staff member did his job well. Reception was the low point, though. The ladies there seemed stressed and could probably use a vacation themselves. We’d definitely come back.

The villaggio is lovely, but too many basic things went wrong for me to give it more than two stars. Check-in was after 18:30, with the workers swamped cleaning apartments. Our house wasn't clean, so we had to ask for another clean. The curtains were dirty, the fridge hadn't been cleaned, and we cleaned it ourselves. Some lights didn't work, there was no cheese grater, and both espresso machines were damaged and unusable. The Wi-Fi never worked during our stay, and neither did the TV. On Sunday morning we also couldn't get an umbrella or beach chairs, even though the rules say each reservation should have a place. The beach office and villaggio reception didn't seem to care. Without all these problems, I'd have given at least four stars.

A lovely spot for a trip to the Adria. The pool is nice for kids too, and the private beach section is only a five-minute walk away.

This is our closest sea and favorite resort. We've been here eight times and plan to return next year. It has everything we need, including a bar, restaurant, pizza and grocery.
