Fuori Le Mura

We booked two rooms for a single night at B&B Fuori le Mura and left wishing we had stayed longer. Paestum is about a 15-minute walk away, with only a short stretch along the road shoulder before the route becomes easy. That saved us the trouble of parking a rental car at the archaeological site. The old city walls are right across the B&B driveway, too. Davide and his mother have made a peaceful, charming place. Our rooms were spotless, roomy, and thoughtfully equipped, with comfortable beds and extra pillows, closets, a mini fridge, and outlets where we needed them. The bathrooms had plenty of room to move around in the shower, and the WiFi signal was strong. Davide was lovely to talk with and speaks English well, which helped since we don't speak Italian. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and generous. When “mom” heard we like getting up early to write, she even brought espressos to our door in the morning. Such kind and welcoming hosts.

We only booked one night and immediately wished it had been longer. Davide and his mom made us feel so cared for, especially after we arrived with colds during a rough start to our time in Italy. We asked Davide where to get takeout, and he offered to pick up pizza for us. He came back with plates, forks, and napkins as well. The next morning his mom made us a lovely homemade breakfast. They're a wonderful family, and we'd recommend this B&B to anyone hoping for an authentic Italian stay.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the whole place had a cozy, welcoming feel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful while we were there. I loved staying here and would happily come back. Highly recommend! ❤️

We spent two weeks at this small boutique place in Paestum, and it made an ideal base for exploring the area. The four rooms are spacious, private, and individually decorated with tasteful touches and quality furnishings. Getting there is lovely too, with a drive along olive trees and thick laurel hedges. The archaeological park is just a stone's throw away. What stayed with us most was the care from the people behind Fuori Le Mura. Titti made a different delicious breakfast each morning for the whole two weeks, somehow. Davide was always ready with local tips and thoughtful suggestions for finding hidden places. Their mother-and-son partnership brings a lot of warmth and generosity to the stay. Laura deserves a mention as well, for her genuine care and lovely presence. It's a peaceful, stylish place with character and comfort, right beside some extraordinary Italian history. We'd return in a heartbeat.
