The host was really nice, and we enjoyed the large rooms and great views. A very nice place.

I was hoping to get some rest, but instead I felt taken for a ride, and my short vacation turned stressful. There was a strange misunderstanding with the booking, and we were stuck accepting that room. We also weren't told about breakfast during the stay, despite what seemed to be a free welcome offer. I wouldn't recommend this as a vacation spot. The owner seems quite dishonest. I hope other tourists get peaceful, restful days.

We only spent one night here last week, but had a great time. The staff were professional, helpful, and courteous, with a real no-problem approach, and we appreciated the exquisite hospitality. The cuisine was impeccable and high class, especially considering how young the chef is. The terrace has a beautiful view, and the chapel is evocative. The hotel suits anyone after quiet and relaxation, and the setting has a rural charm. The building dates to the early 16th century and still keeps its period features. It's up in the hills, about a 10-15 minute drive from the sea. There are only a few minor things to mention. We stayed in an economy room, which has a private bathroom outside the room, as the hotel clearly states when booking. That wing isn't directly connected to reception or the restaurant, though the historic layout seems to make that hard to change. Parking is quite limited, but there appear to be plans to expand it and build a swimming pool with a sunbathing area. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back. Antonella and Giovanni, Naples

The building is beautiful, surrounded by greenery, and the flowers around the outside have an intoxicating scent. We made a very last-minute booking that afternoon for that night. On arrival, we waited half an hour for someone to open the door. Then a woman who seemed to be an employee said she couldn't check us in because that was the owner's job. The person running the place didn't seem professional. Our room had no hot water or carpets, and the reception smelled of smoke. At breakfast, the buffalo yogurt was the one good thing. There were no homemade desserts, and the cappuccino was undrinkable. We were told the coffee blend was strong, not cleaning coffee. The owner apparently said cappuccino is weak when water from the machine arm is used instead of coffee. I'd say a good cappuccino depends on knowing how to make one. With better service, this place could be worth it.
