Minerva Resort Hotel Paestum

The outdoor seating around the beautiful pool was absolutely lovely. The rooms were clean and simple, and the WiFi was fairly reliable. For a reasonable price, it’s a good place to stay in the region. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and offers breakfast and dinner. Dinner improved on our second night, with seafood pasta, a fish dish, and fruit for dessert. Some breakfast cakes, though, tasted stale, like they’d been in the freezer for ages. There was plenty of filling food, but it wasn’t the best you’ll ever eat.

We stayed in the “Family garden rooms” and really liked them. The rooms were large, very clean, and had huge balconies. The exterior was beautifully decorated, too. The bathroom was the one thing that could be improved, since it was small.

The AC doesn't work, and neither does the hairdryer. The room feels old-fashioned and the TV is tiny.

The staff were very friendly and always available, but I don't think the place lives up to its advertised four stars. On weekends there are weddings, so the pool may be reserved and you'll need to find something else to do. The pool is amazing and the room is nice, though having to call reception every time to turn the AC on or off was a hassle. The restaurant wasn't great, but I was there before the season, so I understand. There wasn't much choice on the menu, just what they offered.
