The setting is quiet and idyllic, though there isn't much to do nearby beyond a few small shops and a church. Lucca and Pisa, the main attractions, are about a 30-40 minute drive away. There are three tourist apartments side by side, and the thin walls and floors mean you hear the other guests. We rented all three with a couple of families, which worked well since we knew each other. The garden and pool were lovely and well cared for, and having air conditioning in every bedroom and living room was a real plus. The apartments felt depressing to me, though, and the furniture smelled like old people dying. Service was friendly. Stefani speaks English well and was helpful; I broke some glasses and wasn't charged for them. Just bear in mind that Stefani is the only English speaker, so communicating with the other staff means dealing with the Italian way of speaking. This was my first time in Italy, so I don't know what the usual standard is. Maybe I'm being a little hard with the three stars.

The pool was a great spot to relax, and the bedroom was clean. We got a very pleasant welcome too. The location is convenient, about 10 minutes from the city centre. I'd definitely come back when I get the chance.

The owner is so kind and clearly works hard. The garden has fruit and olive trees, and there's a swimming pool too. The property is beautiful and tucked into a quiet neighborhood, with well-kept apartments decorated in the local style. They've thought of the practical things, including a kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioning, and clotheslines. We only wished there had been a rug in the bathroom, but that's a small thing. I'd love to return someday 🥰

We had a wonderful time in Tuscany, around Lucca and Viareggio. The accommodation was charming, with lemon and orange trees right outside, and it made a great base for exploring the area. There was plenty of room, and it was clean and Mediterranean in feel. Carnival and the wine tasting made it a fantastic experience.
