Bed & Breakfast Lucca Fora

It was a peaceful, relaxing spot, though getting to or from the walled city takes about 15 minutes by taxi. The fare was $15 without traffic and $30 when it was congested. The grounds look great inside and out, and breakfast was perfect. Our room was spacious, clean, and had air conditioning. It was also the only one of the four places we stayed that week to have a box of tissues, which my allergies really appreciated. The hostess was kind and welcoming despite the big language barrier, and she and her daughter did their best to help. I’d gladly stay again.

Breakfast came with delicious organic products from local suppliers, and the area where it’s served is lovely. Silvia, the owner, is a warm, smart, and kind young woman who offers helpful ideas for Tuscan sights and great customer service. The small B&B has been fully renovated in typical Tuscan style, is very well organized, and extremely clean. A shuttle nearby gets you to Lucca in 10 minutes. I’d love to return to B&b Lucca Fora for another weekend in cozy medieval Lucca. Enjoy Tuscany from B&b Lucca Fora with Silvia.

We came across Bed and Breakfast Lucca Fora by chance when we spotted its sign while driving past. The owners made us feel well looked after right from the start. They clearly enjoy helping guests and sharing what they know about their region, with good suggestions for whatever you’re hoping to do. They mostly speak Italian and only a little English, but always found ways to make themselves understood. The location makes it easy to reach Pisa, Florence, Lucca, and the sea, and the region is wonderful. Still, we think the owners’ charm and friendliness are what make the place special.

The breakfast and cappuccino were amazing, and the B&B itself was wonderful, much nicer than any hotel.
