Walking through the vineyards after the tasting was a lovely bonus, and we took some wine home with us. At Colle di Bordocheo, Lorenzo gave us a detailed look at how the wine is made. He was patient and incredibly kind, and all the staff made us feel very welcome and looked after. The wines were divine, as were the olive oil and tasty accompaniments. We really appreciated that the vineyards and olive trees are grown without pesticides. Highly recommend!
The owner gave us a personal gift, such a touching gesture. I won't forget this visit and can't wait to return. Lorenzo was kind and knew so much, which made the tasting even more special. Each wine was presented thoughtfully, and the tour was warm, detailed, and full of passion. We had an unforgettable time at this beautiful winery.
The walk, food, wine, and conversations were all lovely, and this tasting became a real highlight of our trip. Antonnella explained everything so well, and her smile and enthusiasm were the cherry on top. We recommend coming to meet people who are truly passionate about their land and products. Colle di Bordocheo is only a short trip from Lucca, and we'd highly recommend it. Our family group of 30 went this past summer for a vineyard tour and a delicious lunch tasting. Antonella was personable, engaging, and knowledgeable from start to finish. You could tell the whole staff cares deeply about their wine and olive oil. The tastings of both, along with the food pairings, were wonderful.
After tasting a few wines with delicious cheese and bruschetta, we picked up a few things to take home. Nobody pressured us, and we left very happy, wishing we had more room in our suitcase! Antonella spent the day with us and was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We came away with a real insight into the vineyard's wine and oil. Thanks so much, Antonella.
