Hotel Country Club

The pool is clean, well cared for and watched by attentive lifeguards who look after the children without hovering. There's a diving board and plenty of free parking. After swimming, you can exchange your entry ticket for a token to use the hot shower inside. It's a good place for a family day out, and you can also visit just for the pool. During summer, adults pay 10 euros and children 7 euros. A sun lounger and umbrella cost another 5 euros. If you arrive in the afternoon, the set price is 7 euros for any age, for swimming from 3pm until closing at 7pm. There's also a bar and coffee shop with reasonably priced food and drinks, sweets and treats kids like, as well as fruit and healthier choices. I highly recommend it. It's open only in summer and closes on 1 October.

The food was such a treat, every dish felt like an amazing taste of Tuscany. There were also gluten-free options, which were really useful for gluten intolerance. The hotel and staff were great. Amina and Matteo were especially thoughtful, kind and helpful, and the rest of the team were just as lovely, even though we didn't catch their names. We recommend it highly and hope to see you soon! ☺

After a long drive on day 10 of our 14-day trip around Europe, Veronica greeted us with such warmth and courtesy. She went out of her way to make us comfortable and was a wonderful representative of an upscale property like this. Dinner by the pool had a fantastic atmosphere. Our room was well equipped and spacious, and the morning view was so amazing I took a few photos. The only awkward part was the shower, which felt cramped, or maybe just European sized, and could be difficult if you're bulkier like me. Sandra looked after us at breakfast the next morning and was very helpful in getting us the food we needed. The ambience, service and staff were all great, and we'd surely come back.

We had a spacious room and great staff, and the food was good. Our balcony was so large it was more like a back yard. The hotel is in the country, as the name suggests, so it's a little way from town, but Lucca is only 15 minutes away by car and well worth visiting. The pool was clean. You might spot the odd bit of grass floating, but the lifeguards are always netting it. The pool is huge, so keeping it clear takes time. I've seen some negative comments about the location and pool cleanliness, but we had a fantastic stay and I'd recommend the hotel.
