We were a big group, and this ended up being the best part of our trip. Luca welcomed us like family, and we were genuinely sorry to leave. The women in the kitchen were lovely to get to know, and the food and hospitality were both great. It's a place to relax and do nothing for a while. The location worked really well for reaching the sights and charming cities nearby. We also loved the breakfast, with lots of delicious choices. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and they really went out of their way to help. Highly recommend for a memorable stay.

We slept incredibly well here. The beds were so comfortable, and the apartment was clean, fresh and cool, with a handy little kitchen. The grounds are lush, green and spacious, and the pool is a good size with comfy loungers, so there was no need to compete for one. It's on the edge of Lucca and easy to reach the centre. We drove and parked outside the wall, though I was told there's a direct bus too. Breakfast has a good selection that changes daily, and you can ask for eggs cooked how you like. The mushrooms served with them were amazing. It's served outside under cover in a lovely spot. There are set dinners on some evenings, and I'd definitely recommend trying one. Marco and the team were so friendly and helpful. Ottman was especially sweet, always cheerful and chatty, and helped us get the bikes ready for a great ride around the area. The apartment terrace could use a little freshening up, though it was still nice. I'm fussy about coffee and would have preferred proper coffee to the pod machine in the apartment. But there was moka coffee at breakfast, so it worked out fine.

We loved how welcoming and homely the place felt, and hope we can come back. The pool area is beautiful, and we enjoyed getting drinks from the honesty fridge. The setting is ideal, in a village but still with that feeling of being up in the hills. Nico is a legend in the kitchen. His food was incredible, and we still miss the fresh morning omelettes made with basil from the garden. Marco was so helpful with suggestions for places to visit and eat. Our favorite restaurant was bimbotto. He also told us about the tap water, which really was the best we've ever tasted. Thanks for everything!
