La Mirolla

You’ll need a car, as the apartment is quite remote. For a group of four, I’d also have liked two two-seater sofas in the living room; there are currently just two single sofas. Those were my only quibbles. Otherwise, it’s excellent accommodation in an old mill, with two large bedrooms that each have an ensuite bathroom. The beds are comfortable, and the large kitchen has everything you could need. There are three televisions on site. The host was very pleasant and helpful, and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

A really special place to stay, with a nice backyard and lovely BBQs!

The setting is so quiet and peaceful, and it works well as a base for Lucca, Pisa, and Florence. I’d also recommend going for walks in the surrounding hills. There’s a covered parking space and a lovely garden with loungers, now with more greenery and shade. The terrace is a great spot for coffee in the morning, breakfast, or dinner. The apartment has large rooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a lovely living room and dining area. The glass floor is striking.

Loretta was always quick to answer questions on WhatsApp, and the air conditioning worked really well. We’d gladly come back. The place is furnished with care, mixing modern pieces and antiques. They’d also left useful little things like salt, pepper, and soap, which we often have to buy ourselves in vacation rentals. That was a nice touch.
