Villa Elizabeth

We rented the villa with friends for New Year's Eve 2022, and the stay was a mess. When we arrived around 3:00 PM, we were shown around and told the electric heaters and bedroom air conditioning were on because the radiators wouldn't be switched on until 8:00 PM. After 8:00 PM the radiators still weren't on, and the house was cold. We called the owner and were told the heating wasn't working. The bedroom air conditioning helped, but whenever we turned on the lights upstairs, where we most wanted to spend time, the power went out. There was also trouble with the gas. We couldn't get the stove going at dinner, so the owner came over and turned the gas on. The next day we went to nearby Lucca, and when we returned, gas smelled so strongly throughout all three floors that it was hard to breathe. We called again. The owner blamed the industrial ovens used for events. Since it was a beautiful day, we planned to use the barbecue for dinner and asked them to shut off the gas before anyone got sick. The owner apologized and said he had a pastry shop, offering us breakfast there the following day. Four of my friends went, but they were charged, despite what we'd been told. We hadn't asked the owner for anything the day before, so that left a particularly bad impression. The villa wasn't worth the price we paid, and after the way we were treated, I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

We celebrated my children's baptism at the villa today, and I wanted to share how it went. The place feels beautiful and welcoming, and the food was really, really good. All our guests complimented us. The staff were kind, and the owner was very friendly. I couldn't have asked for more. I absolutely recommend it.

Emilia and Stefano were so helpful and kind, even arranging tips and ideas for things to do near Lucca. Their service made our weekend even better. We loved the excellent food, the impeccable service, and the stunning villa with its private garden and pool. A fairytale weekend, highly recommended!

They personalized the arrangements and found a fitting solution for each request. The food was excellent and the service staff impeccable. The setting is an intimate, romantic historic noble villa in the countryside, among the green hills of Compitese (Lucca), suited to parties, celebrations, and weddings. Its understated elegance, atmosphere, and quality are what stand out.
