Parking isn’t right outside, so bring light luggage and be ready for a few stairs. Carla was attentive and helpful, giving us all the directions we needed to reach the house. This historic home in Capestrano has two levels and was just right for four people, with a big, fully equipped kitchen and new bathrooms. It’s quiet and relaxing, a great place to spend some quality time. We used it as a base for the Piana dell'Aquila, Campo Imperatore, Rocca Calascio, Navelli, and Stiffe. Abruzzo is ideal if you’re after nature, culture, and the good life, as long as you know where to look. We’ll definitely come back!

There are restaurants, pubs, and ice cream parlors in the village, and Capestrano makes a strategic base for nearby sights and outdoor activities, from mountain biking and boating to hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and bird watching. We found the owners fantastic, and we’ll definitely return. The house is spotless and has everything you need, with a sunny panoramic terrace that really stands out. It’s a lovely spot for families, set near the old medieval walls. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to get away from the daily routine.
