Nettuno Beach

The beachside location is amazing, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff were wonderful. Daniele, Matteo, Francesco and the woman from Czech Republic at the restaurant were kind and helpful, as were the reception staff, especially the two women who checked us in. There are a few things that kept the stay from being amazing. WiFi was poor: the network whose password they gave me didn't reach the rooms, only the balcony or hallway. Another signal worked in the room, but they wouldn't give me its password. Breakfast was good but not fantastic. Granita, a Sicilian summer tradition, wasn't included, though eggs, cheese and bacon were, even though those cost more. The hotel charges extra for beach chairs and towels, which felt like a missed opportunity for a hotel right on the beach. We ended up going to other beaches and spending money elsewhere. A complimentary happy hour drink, maybe beer, wine or spritz, could also bring more business if guests invited friends and family to enjoy the view and location. Management could make better choices about marketing and the guest experience. The staff's kindness and helpfulness made up for some of it, but their options are limited by management decisions.
