If I come back to Elba, I'd probably stay in Lacona again. It's a handy base for exploring the island, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. The Conad supermarket in Portoferraio is 10 minutes away. Cat lovers, take note: you're at Carlotta's place, and she'll happily ask you for food and cuddles. 😉

The owners were really helpful, and the location is peaceful while still close to everything. But the shower had an unbearable smell, and the walls might as well be paper. You can hear the neighbors, even the tiniest noises.

We booked through Booking.com at the last minute, then got in touch with the agency, who were extremely helpful. The spot is very quiet and convenient for both Portoferraio and Capoliveri Lacona. Our room was comfortable, and the kitchen worked well.

The apartment was simple and a bit dated, but clean. It's somewhat out of the way, though the place is nice and the sea view is beautiful.
