Good value for the money. The rooms were clean and had a large terrace, and the place felt quiet and peaceful. There were a few ants, but that can be sorted out. The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent.

There’s a nice outdoor area for meals, and you can barbecue there too if you like. Covered parking was always available, and Porto Azzurro and several lovely beaches are just a short distance away. I recommend Barabarca. Massimiliano was consistently kind and helpful, and we had a great stay. Next time I’ll choose an apartment with air conditioning! :) Very good.

The bathroom was the worst part: there’s no shower tray, and the showerhead sits so close to the toilet that water ends up everywhere. The bed was awful too, with a badly sagging mattress and an old box spring pressing into my back all night. Nothing is soundproof, so we heard every word from next door, along with noises from their bathroom and kitchen. The room light didn’t work, and one morning there was no water at all from the taps. It may be a two-star property, but the level of deterioration is far too much. I spent a week here and would rather forget the experience.

The only thing even slightly in its favor is the location. The place was dirty in a superficial way, the mattress was split and crumbling, and the air conditioning didn’t work. Towels and dish soap were missing too. The walls between rooms might as well be paper: you hear the neighbors talking, using the bathroom, and having sex. There isn’t a proper shower, just a toilet with a showerhead sticking out above it, so you can wash while using the toilet. On the second morning, the taps throughout the place had no water at all. This was the worst holiday I’ve ever had. I can’t see how anyone calls it adequate. Even Spain wasn’t this low quality. Never again, not even for free!
