We liked the clean, leafy grounds, the excellent pool and the relaxed restaurant and bar beside it. Our Elba mobile home was a reasonable size and everything worked, though the interior felt a little dated. Lacona beach is about a kilometre away, with a shuttle if you don't fancy the 12-minute walk. We drove each time instead. The animation staff were kind and tried to keep the kids entertained; our children enjoyed them, even though they were more or less the only Italian kids there. Most families during our stay were Dutch, so the language gap was hard to bridge.

Breakfast was delicious, the staff were wonderful, and the restrooms were spotless. The beach and nearby restaurants are about a 15-minute walk away. But we came to celebrate a birthday and enjoy the outdoors, and ended up exhausted from lack of sleep. A bar across from the hostel kept partying loudly until 4:30 or 5 in the morning, even on Wednesday. Early traffic noise from the road added to it.

Ellis Bar is lovely, and the animation was gentle and sweet without being too much. The campsite is green and has lots of shade. Toilets and showers were okay. 🫶🏻

A gorgeous beach is just a ten-minute walk away, past vineyards, olive groves and wildflowers. The campsite itself has hot showers, a Thai food truck, a volleyball court and more. I'd be very happy to camp here again.

Reception were really friendly and helpful, and it's a great campsite in many ways. But if you're travelling alone with a small tent, the rocky, exposed pitches may not suit you unless you like a Fred Flintstone kind of setup with no shade. You can't park a car by the tent unless you pay for a caravan spot. The paths are all gravel, so every footstep carries, and beer is expensive.
