Camping Village Europa

The beach right near the campsite was fantastic, and the bungalow had a great view. We visited at the end of May, in the off season, and found everything clean with all the services available. The staff were always on hand when we needed anything, and the director gave us a really warm welcome. Great coffee bar and bazaar too. Recommended for families!

We stayed from 8 to 20 June, then booked four more days somewhere else so we could be comfortable for the rest of our time on the island. That place cost a third as much and had parking just a few easy steps from a lovely home. The Luxury tent looked modern inside and had a large bathroom, but at €150 a day it came with no services. It was at the top of a steep area, quite far from parking, and there was no ride to or from the tent. After a day at the beach, climbing back up every day was exhausting. For a spot that far away and so steep, a golf car ride back to the tent is usually provided. The location, price, and service just didn’t add up. It wasn’t worth it. Look for somewhere that offers guests a real holiday experience. Getting back and forth took a huge effort every time. We had ants all over us while we slept, though that’s part of being out in nature. The downstairs double bedroom was tiny, and making the bed properly was almost impossible. Kids at the campsite woke up at 6:30 AM shouting and playing around our tent. By 9 PM, when we adults were still awake, everything around us was quiet because the kids were in bed. As a couple without children, we felt uncomfortable and constrained by trying to be respectful. If that would bother you too, consider an adults-only place. The rubbish bins were always full, with trash left outside and blowing around. And this was only June. I hate to think what it’s like in July and August. Luxury means something else. Here it felt like an overused marketing word.

A really nice campsite with a pool and beach. The service was a bit odd, though: bathrobes were required in the pool, but one of the service guys went swimming without one?!

Mosquitoes were the worst I’ve ever experienced. I was being eaten alive day and night. The price was made up on the spot, the pool was advertised but wasn’t there, and it was noisy all night. Wouldn’t recommend it.
