Casa Balena Bianca

We booked this holiday at the last minute and didn't expect much, but the house turned out to be a lovely surprise. It has everything needed for a quiet, restful stay. Margidore beach is a seven-minute walk away, and beautiful Lacona beach takes about ten minutes on foot. There are also plenty of trails leading to lovely coves. Patrizia gave us useful ideas for beaches to try in strong winds, along with hiking routes for seeing the island from above. If we're back on Elba, we'll choose Balena Bianca again.

My son and I had a great stay at Casa Balena Bianca, and I recommend it to everyone. The apartment was clean and had all we needed. The house and garden are very well looked after, and both beaches are close enough to walk to. Patrizia and Gionata were so kind and helpful.

Patrizia and Gionata were thoughtful, attentive hosts, and the house felt very welcoming. I spent a week in the Unicorno apartment with my wife and our two children, aged 17 and 12. There's no air conditioning, but on the ground floor it gets enough ventilation that the heat wasn't a problem. Outside, there's a lovely covered area with a long table, sink and barbecue space for evenings together. You can also reach the sea through a private alley in a very quiet spot. We didn't use it, since we went out exploring every day, including Portoferraio, about 15 minutes away, and Marina di Campo with its typical beaches, Cavoli and Fetovaia. The setting near the Lacona pine forest is beautiful. I highly recommend it. Piermarco

The owner was very welcoming and always available. We spent two weeks just steps from the sea, enjoying a real break in a peaceful spot. Our apartment was clean, tidy and practical for our needs. The outdoor area is spacious, with a kitchen and BBQ for guests, a nice place to chat over a beer at the end of the day. We hope we can come back soon.
