A car is handy for getting to the beaches and towns around this beautiful island, though you can hike into the mountains from here. The spot itself is quiet and elevated, with a sea view across the Bay of Stella (Golfo Stella). There are just a few small chalets in the compound. The front room and large patio are nice, and the space is ample for two, possibly enough for four. The bedroom at the back is small and rather dark.
The staff were especially kind and helpful, and the covered parking was a real plus. We had a truly excellent stay, and I’d highly recommend it. The apartment had everything we needed, from dishes and toiletries to other amenities. The location works well for a quiet break while keeping you close to everything. It’s clearly best suited to summer, since it isn’t the coldest season. A couple of things could be better: the Wi-Fi was weak and only worked near the door in our room, and the light insulation could be improved.
A quiet, green setting that’s great for couples or families, with friendly, helpful staff. They let us check in early and leave several hours late, which was very kind. The place was exceptionally clean throughout, including the bathroom, and the value for money was excellent. It’s a useful base for exploring the whole island, with beautiful views over the Gulf of Lacona. The property has several apartments, each with a private bathroom, outdoor veranda with table and chairs, and fully equipped kitchen. You do need transport, since Lacona beach is a couple of kilometers away on foot.
The apartment had plenty of space and a lovely terrace, and Signora Francesca welcomed us with a warm smile. Everything was very clean, with new furniture in nice colors. The kitchen was properly equipped, even down to dish soap, and had a new electric stove and washing machine. We slept well on the mattress, and the bedroom air conditioning was excellent. The refrigerator was huge, too. The main drawback was parking: just three spaces for large vehicles like pickups or vans. The internet could also be stronger. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay. The view is good, and being in the island's center makes getting around convenient. Beyond those positives, I'd look elsewhere. The furniture is cheap and dated, and has a musty smell. There aren't any hooks or hangers, so your things end up on the floor or on chairs. There's little privacy, and it's quiet at all hours. I can't recommend it.
