Residence Cala Silente

We stayed at the Pompea in July 2025, and it was a dream. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well equipped, with even a microwave, toaster, and kettle, which are rare to find by the sea. Sheets, towels, dish soap, a sponge, and toilet paper were provided too. We had a terrace and loungers with plenty of space and sea views, including from inside and the bedroom. The pool is huge and beautiful, has a free hydromassage section that's always open, and the canvas loungers are free and the most comfortable I've ever used. It stays open continuously until 8:00 PM, even during the hottest hours. Getting to the beach was easy. We were given a remote for private parking, available any time, which I'd never experienced before. Morcone beach has lovely sea and sand and is a minute away by car. Pareti Beach is a few minutes on foot, but it's small and the path is rather ugly, so I don't recommend it. At the Albatros beach resort in Morcone, Cala Silente guests can use a canoe for free even if they're on the free beach. We used one almost every day, and there's a shower for everyone. Felciaio and Barabarca are famous, stunning beaches just a short drive away and definitely worth seeing. The residence was calm and quiet while we were there. I know that depends on luck and the neighbors, but the people around us were thankfully polite and respectful. Conad and Coop are close for groceries. You can hear the sea in the evening. We'll definitely return and highly recommend it.

The view is fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly and quick to handle our requests or changes. We've visited four times and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore a charming Italian island and enjoy a swim. The pool was often very low, and the shower and toilet flush didn't work properly, so I can't give it five stars.

The complex is peaceful, and although there are several apartments, they're far enough apart that you don't hear the other guests. The setting is calming, with a nice panoramic view, private parking, a flower-filled exterior, and a lovely pool. Our apartment had a pleasant charcoal barbecue, too. Staff were friendly. We had a large apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms with toilets. The kitchen had plenty of equipment, but no dishwasher, and we really don't want to do dishes on vacation. It was also missing a practical microwave for reheating food. Humidity was another problem. There's no mechanical ventilation, so the windows condensed, the bed felt damp at night, and the towels wouldn't dry. The large bedroom windows have no blinds or shutters, and the curtains aren't blackout, so sunrise woke us up in full daylight. I'd recommend the apartment, but it needs a dishwasher, microwave, and ventilation.

The staff were young, friendly, and helpful, and the food was fresh and high quality. We had half-board at the Albatros restaurant and it was excellent. The apartment was fabulous, comfortable, and had sea views. The pool was perfect even for small children.
