Villa Ferrara Sardegna

The villa looks beautiful, but we had several problems while staying there, and I wouldn't recommend it because of them. We chose it because it had a pool, then found out the pool only operates from June onwards. We were there in late May, and the app we booked through didn't mention this anywhere. The fridge and freezer also didn't work, so we couldn't store food safely, which made a self-catering holiday rather pointless. We told the owner, but nothing was done during our stay. There were faulty electrics throughout the property, and the upstairs showers weren't draining properly. Sardinia has strict recycling rules, which we were happy to follow. We took considerable time to sort everything carefully according to the owner's instructions and left it out for collection on the right days. Even so, 60 Euros was taken from our security deposit, apparently because our efforts weren't good enough. Another unsettling thing happened when a man showed up looking for the owner and carrying what seemed to be legal papers. The owner told us he was the postman, but that clearly wasn't the case. He waited outside for quite a while, which made us uneasy. It's a beautiful location and could be an excellent villa, but these issues made the stay a poor one.
