The view from our room and the location on the island were beautiful, but the building is old and the rooms are completely outdated. They need renovation. There was an unpleasant smell in the staircase and bathroom, plus a strong smell of dogs and cigarettes in the reception area. I know Capri is expensive, and the price was fairly reasonable compared with other accommodation, but breakfast was a big surprise. We got crackers with butter and jam, no bread or savory sandwich toppings. There were also dry cakes, and they could make good coffee on request, but that didn't make up for the disappointing lack of a proper breakfast. The place made me feel like I was in a cheap youth hostel, though it cost a bit more than one. Never again in this 'hotel'.

What really made our stay enjoyable was the staff. They were welcoming, friendly and ready with suggestions. Breakfast was basic but nice, and the location was good with an amazing view. The building is old and has no elevator, and it would be an awesome place if it were renovated. Be ready for plenty of walking, since it's in the city and taxis can't get to it.

The owners were so friendly and hospitable, always available to answer questions and help me find local places. The room was clean and nice, with a great terrace, table and chairs facing the ocean. It's in a perfect part of Capri, close to the touristy areas but far enough away to have much less foot traffic. Breakfast was phenomenal too. I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The sea facing room on the third floor had great views, and the friendly staff offered us an upgrade when we arrived. There's no elevator, so expect stairs, as you do throughout Capri. We had a comfortable bed and fast wifi. Breakfast was fine, with enough cakes and croissants, though it wasn't a hot meal. Some nearby restaurants people recommended were good too. We stayed as a couple in April 2108. Just look at the views.
