Hotel La Palma, Oetker Hotels

Breakfast was a dream, with wonderful ingredients and coffee, and a fresh, elegant selection of delicious food. The chef was there in the morning too, which says a lot about the care they put into quality. Florencia greeted us warmly each day, and her fresh panettone was perfect. Our room was beautiful, bright, and carefully designed, with a quiet air conditioner, plenty of closet space, a mini fridge, a very comfortable bed and pillows, and great shower pressure. The hotel is spotless and thoughtfully put together. Everyone on staff was warm and seemed to genuinely care about our stay. The pool and rooftop terrace were lovely places to relax, with excellent service. Our terrace at the back of the room was private and peaceful, even though its view wasn’t great. It was nice for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Next time, we’d like a room overlooking the street or pool for more of that Capri charm. La Palma is right in the heart of Capri, a few steps from shops, restaurants, and everything we wanted to explore. Inside, it feels calm, elegant, and welcoming. We left feeling rested and spoiled, and are already looking forward to coming back.

Breakfast was poorly timed: the food came before our drinks, and the bacon arrived about five minutes after the rest. Drinks should come before the meal, and everything should arrive together. The junior suite was spacious and pretty, and the hotel itself is beautiful, but nobody warned us it was above the restaurant and lounge. It was very loud, and we lay there annoyed and tired until the noise died down around 2 a.m. The bed squeaks every time you get in or out, which is annoying and not what I expect at this nightly price. That doesn’t feel luxurious. If you want a quiet, peaceful hotel, this isn’t it. The service feels more like a four-star level.

Right in the heart of Capri, this hotel has great rooms and service, and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It’s a level of luxury not everyone can stomach, but if it suits your budget, I highly recommend it.

The hotel is right in the thick of everything, and we loved our stay. The rooftop bar is beautiful, so dinner and drinks there are a must. Service was top notch. Everyone was kind and helpful, especially the concierge desk, who were very patient with me. They helped me find the things I’d lost from the ferry. We’ll be back!
