B&B Al Sentiero

September and early October were lovely times to visit, with sunny weather and plenty of beautiful places to see nearby. The drive down is easy by car, even if it looks daunting, and our car was parked somewhere secure. We went to Lake Garda to stay at our dear Paula’s villa. The first holiday my husband and I took together in Italy was full of warmth, care, and hospitality. The meals were incredibly good, the coffee was the best, and the whole atmosphere felt supportive and kind. Seeing olives and pomegranates growing on the trees was magical. The welcome was so heartfelt, and Scooby-Doo, Paula’s dog, was unforgettable. We were there a year and a half ago, but still want to return just as much. Paola takes wonderful care of the place and her guests. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, and every detail around the property seemed carefully maintained. Breakfast was generous, with lots of fresh, high-quality food. The terrace gave us an unparalleled view. What an enchanting little gem, congratulations!

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and our room was comfortable with nothing to complain about. The house looks fantastic, and the setting is beautiful, though the garden felt a bit too green to me. Some blooming flowers would add color and atmosphere. The pool is nicely placed, but we didn’t use it during our two-night stay. Breakfast was adequate, like standard three-star hotel fare. It didn’t match the outstanding breakfast at another place near Affi, about 15 kilometers away, where we stayed for two days beforehand.

We’ve stayed here twice this year, and the €820 price for 10 days is a bargain. It’s very clean, waste is sorted, and drinks and snacks are available on site. The facilities and pool are fantastic, and there’s table tennis and board games in the breakfast room. The staff are friendly and very welcoming to dogs. It’s set high on a large slope, so you do have to drive up the hill, but the peace and quiet and fantastic view make it feel like a dream. The atmosphere is so relaxed.
