Surrounded by astonishing nature and culture, this is one of Italy’s most impressive hotel spas. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, good food.

The heating plant flues are the first thing you see, and they really detract from the hotel’s architecture. The staff are extremely friendly, the spa is good, and both breakfast and dinner are excellent, though expensive. We couldn’t really make use of the staff’s expertise because we have two children, aged 4 and 6, and treatments cost quite a lot. This isn’t very suitable for families, mainly because there are no activities specifically for children and most guests are couples or adults. I do want to point out how thoughtfully they prepared dishes suited to the children’s ages, and the kids were completely satisfied. Mattia and his colleague in the breakfast room were simply fantastic. The excursions with Majambiente are highly recommended.

The restaurant food was very good, but the service was less impressive. The staff kept saying, “We just reopened,” though that didn’t explain the poor upkeep of the indoor and outdoor areas, the missing bar, or the long breakfast waits caused by staff shortages, which certainly weren’t due to COVID regulations. The property was listed online as 5-star, but I spent a few days with friends at this 4-star place. Value for money wasn’t great, and €20 a day for a dog is certainly not cheap. Minibar prices weren’t listed, and restaurant extras weren’t signed for, which held up checkout even more. I recommend bringing prices in line with the services offered.
