Bedda Casa Al Mare

Right by the sea, and just perfect.

The coffee maker didn't work, but we put up with that because we wanted to avoid any more contact or confrontation with the host. That was after an already awful start: we were first given the wrong apartment and floor. Once the host realized the mix-up, he got very rude, raised his voice, and made threats to make us leave straight away, when it suited him. After we left the incorrect apartment and moved to the right one, we immediately tried to figure out how to reach the police. We were in a foreign country, didn't speak the language, and worried the host might follow through on his threats. He seemed mentally unstable and unpredictable to us. Then, the day before we left, he messaged us to leave 12 Euros on the table for the city tax at checkout. We did as he said. Back home in Canada, we found out he'd already charged our card for that same tax two days before sending the message. So we paid it twice.

The garden opens straight onto the beach, which was the best part of the villa's setting at the edge of a residential area. After a day on the sand, there's even an outdoor shower to rinse off. The owners had everything ready for a well-organized welcome, and the apartment is nicely equipped. It works well for 2 to 4 people.

Small, but enough room for two: there's an entrance hall, kitchen, and two rooms. The two terraces were fantastic. It's also right on a long sandy beach, inside a private complex.
