Barbara and her family made us feel completely at home. Their charming place sits among the olive groves in beautiful Carmignano. Thank you!

A relaxing break here suits anyone hoping to unplug: mobile reception is weak, and the Wi-Fi is patchy and only reaches the terrace, where it drops out often. They say they’re working on it. Getting there, Via del Granaio is one-way, so approach from Poggio a Caiano rather than Carmignano. The house itself is a wonderful holiday home with warm hosts, idyllic Tuscan hill scenery, and romantic views. It also makes a great starting point for trips to Florence and nearby places. The amenities cover almost everything we wanted.

It’s a shame about the customer service. We asked about one night, and they said they’d check availability and reply. After a week and several calls from me, they finally said they don’t take one-night bookings. A quick message would have saved us the wait.

We enjoyed the outdoor seating, the reasonably priced menu, and the good quality food. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
