The garden at La Sassaia was so peaceful, with wonderful views over the Tuscan countryside. We spent hours enjoying it, and the clean pool was a refreshing place to cool off. We especially miss the two friendly dogs who’d come over for a pet whenever we arrived. Our spacious apartment had everything we could imagine, including table games, and the hosts left local wine and jam as a welcome gift. Their generosity showed throughout our stay. They’re the friendliest people, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Even though we were from another country and didn’t speak Italian, they invited us to a family party. It was heartwarming, and we’ll always treasure it. The hosts and the magical atmosphere gave us memories of Italy we won’t forget. We’re already looking forward to coming back. La Sassaia was a wonderful base for seeing Florence, and cities like Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, and Viareggio are all about an hour’s drive away. We had a clean apartment with everything we needed, a beautifully kept garden, and a clean pool. The view from the garden was lovely, and the hosts were kind, helpful, and super friendly. We also really enjoyed the company of their two friendly dogs.

The kids loved the dogs and cat, and we all enjoyed the picturesque garden and little pool. The place feels authentic and relaxed, with no-nonsense hospitality. The mosquitos were the one downside.

We used the apartment as a base to explore Florence, lucca, and San Gimignano. It has all the amenities we needed, including SC, a washing machine, and a full kitchen. Elena was super helpful. A good choice for enjoying the Tuscan countryside, very much recommended.

Such a relaxing setting, with great hosts and a clean pool. The guide dogs were friendly and really helpful. I’d come back.
