We spent a magical week at Villa Niraclo with our family of 12. Nicola and his wife were quick to respond, and the listing description and photos were very accurate. The secluded, peaceful setting made it easy to get to Carovigno, Ostuni, Monopoli, Bari, and Brindisi. The villa worked well for our group, with a pool, covered patio, outdoor seating, and a well-equipped outdoor kitchen. We even had a private chef prepare a five-course dinner one evening. It was very hot during our stay, and the A/C struggled to keep up with what we’re used to in the US, though the house never became warm or hot. A small town 1.5km away had everything we needed, including pastries, sandwiches, restaurants, and drinks. Carovigno’s piazza was a quaint 10-minute ride away with that small Italian village feel; Ostuni, 15-20 minutes away, had a similar feel but more activity. We’d definitely rent again, hopefully within the next couple of years.

We rented the villa in September 2023, and the advertised facilities did not match what we found. The indoor jacuzzi was listed as heated, but it wasn't, and we were told heating it would cost extra. We understood that the outdoor pool would cost extra to heat, but advertising a heated indoor pool and then finding it unheated was ridiculous. The outdoor kitchenette was locked, also for an extra charge. The host switched off the A/C while we were out for an hour, saying we were using too much electricity. The beds had only sheets, so we had to ask for bed covers, and the last few showers at night were cold. At €8500 for the week, we expected much more. The hosts might say we were the ones causing problems, but we have a 5-star Airbnb rating and travel extensively. I've never had to leave a negative review before.

We spent a week at the villa. It's a nice, clean place, but the main house had hot-water problems in the showers nearly every day, and most of the time there was no hot water.

The house itself is decent and the pool is large, but the way the villa is managed made for a terrible stay with our group of friends. At check-in, the owners hurried us into signing a rental agreement and didn't even give us a copy, which felt like a bad sign. For the price, we expected basic care. There was no dish soap, spare toilet paper, shower gel, or even a tablecloth. The worst part was checkout. Although checkout was at 10:00, we agreed to let them in at 9:30. They entered without knocking or warning, and their rude, arrogant manner made everyone uncomfortable. After we left, they demanded another €100 for cleaning, even though we'd paid it at check-in, because we hadn't washed the breakfast cups. This was after they had us leave half an hour early. It's a nice villa, but the owners were intrusive and disrespectful. I wouldn't return, even for free, and can't recommend it.

Nicola and his wife were readily available and helpful, and the villa was lovely, quiet, and had a superb pool. We enjoyed a wonderful week in a peaceful, convenient setting in a beautiful region and location. Highly recommended.
