The night security guard was great, and the reception staff were excellent. A special thanks to Flora, Francesco, and the animation team. They worked hard every day and night to make sure everyone felt at ease. We had a wonderful time at Pineta al Mare!

The campsite seems best suited to families with small children who want activities on site. There are more than ten animators, which might explain the price, and it often felt like they were waiting for someone to break a pool rule. You have to wear a swimming cap, the pool is only open for a few hours a day, and the slide is available for even less time. There are warning signs all over the campsite about things you're not allowed to do. The toilets weren't pleasant to use, and the sea beside the campsite was dirty and smelled bad. We arrived late in the evening after travelling from Greece and planned to stay just one night. Checkout was at 10 a.m., which we missed, so we were told we'd have to pay €150 for the overnight stay for our camper, two adults and two children. We ended up staying another night. There are a lot of rules here.

Our two daughters had the best time, with games, dancing, workouts and tournaments happening all the time. There was so much going on that we didn't want to leave the campsite and miss anything. The animators gave us a lovely welcome on our first day, and we had a wonderful impression from the start. It's one of the best campsites we've stayed at: very clean, pet friendly, with amazing staff and great entertainment. Special greetings to Roberto (you are the Greatest Showman), Annie, Rafaele, and Asia.

The restaurant on site was really good, and the English speaking waitress was especially kind and helpful. It's popular, though, so be sure to book a table. This was our fifth campsite while travelling through Europe, and the most expensive one was also the worst for us. Maybe Italian families staying in the chalets love it here, but it didn't feel very welcoming to foreign visitors. There are international flags at the entrance, yet all the communication and entertainment were only in Italian. I can understand that in Italy, but our children weren't even invited to join the activities because they were foreigners. People smoked in the swimming pool, whose opening hours were very limited. There was no soap or toilet paper either, though every other campsite we visited had provided them. The tent area is lovely, but tucked away at the back and right beside a lot of noise from the neighbouring campsite.

We came at the end of the season, which probably helped make the atmosphere so peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful, and although the campsite restaurant looked nice, we didn't eat there. The swimming pool is amazing, and there are good toilets and showers. Our pitch was spacious and shaded. There's a small shop on site, plus a well-stocked one in the village just a few minutes away. My wife and I stayed in a tent for one night in mid September, and thought the campsite was wonderful.
