Cascina Merlanetta

For a cyclist just passing through, this worked out well, especially in a region where campsites are hard to come by. I didn’t use much beyond the basics, so I can’t say much about things like the e-bikes or guided excursions. The owners were generous with the price. There aren’t many toilets, showers, or kitchen facilities, but what’s there is clean and welcoming.

We only stayed one night, but the guided gold tour made it memorable. We even got to pan for a little gold ourselves. The agriturismo is surrounded by nature, with geese and bunnies wandering about, and everything felt calm. The kitchen, washing machine, and bikes were all clean and well equipped. Chef Daniele and his family were lovely and made us feel at home.

The owner was so friendly and ready to help, and you can see the care that’s gone into the place. It’s part of a working farm, so we got a glimpse of the family’s daily life and traditions. Being surrounded by nature and the quiet pace of farm life felt grounding and gave me a real chance to unwind. There’s no strict checkout time either, which made leaving feel relaxed. A lovely spot if you want some simplicity and time away from stress.

It was really peaceful here, and we enjoyed the stay. We could cook in the kitchen, and the shower was nice. The facilities were clean and fairly new.
