Just a relaxing stay.
The owners were so kind, friendly, and helpful that it felt like being at home. The food is simple, genuine, full of flavor, and delicious, with a varied menu offering something for different tastes. The rooms are plain and welcoming, furnished in a rustic, homey way that gives the place a warm, family feel. Outside, everything is carefully looked after and spotlessly clean. The agriturismo is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. A great choice if you want a few days in nature away from the daily grind. Highly recommended.
Tenuta Portararo was a lovely find. We had a pleasant holiday for a very reasonable price, thanks to DLT Viaggi. The location is convenient, the food was good, and the place was clean and welcoming. We’ll return, and I recommend it.
The location is lovely, green, well kept, and close to the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the poor room condition and food made the stay disappointing. For the price, the food was too basic and low quality. There was garlic and oil, cherry tomatoes, pork, pumpkin and plenty more, but it was all cooked too simply and didn’t feel worth the money. On half-board, especially while on holiday, I expect something more special. Breakfast was poor, and the cups were dirty every day. The room was badly cleaned and felt unnecessary, with dust everywhere, old neglected furniture, ineffective mosquito nets, and not even a toilet seat. I’m sorry to give only two stars, but I think honest criticism can help improve things. The staff were kind and helpful.
The food really is excellent, authentic, local, and probably zero miles. The portions are just right without waste, too. Our spacious room was lovely, the greenery was pleasant, and the animals were a wonderful thing for the children to see. Given what we paid, the value for money was good. That’s where the positives end for me. The general service felt poor and shoddy. There was no shower gel holder, towel hooks outside the shower, toothbrush holder, or hairdryer. We were given just one set of towels for the whole stay, whether it lasted 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 days. The glasses were cloudy, probably from wear, and although the cutlery was clean it wasn’t shiny, which didn’t give a very polished impression. I don’t expect a farmhouse in nature to be like a property in the city, but quite a few things need attention. They wouldn’t cost much, yet would make the place feel far more efficient.
