Dominella

The place is a real gem. I would've stayed two weeks if I hadn't already booked somewhere else. Check-in was flexible, everything was spotless and so well cared for that I was surprised it had been open for several years. There's lots of natural light, good options for artificial lighting, plenty of closet space, a useful washing machine, and a well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to cook. The gated parking is on the property, just steps from the apartment. The area is quiet and feels safe. A large patio and doors from the bedroom and living room give you a great mountain view. Even in rain or clouds, the way they move around the mountains makes for beautiful scenery. Walk up the hill a little and you can see the water. The center, grocery stores, restaurants, and beach are all a short walk, bike ride, or drive away. I recommend the burgers at Rock Bar. The property is right by the main road, which is useful for longer bike rides, and the Internet was fast. People from town were friendly too. The pool is steps from the apartments, though it wasn't warm enough to use while I was there. The host was honest. I felt bad about arriving late and was flustered counting the money that night. He came back within minutes to tell me I'd overpaid. No complaints from me. I don't think I'd have enjoyed a place right on the water as much. The pictures include the property and spots I walked or biked to during my stay.

The residential area has panoramic views over the Gulf of Velia and lies along the "Via del Mare" between Casal Velino Marina and Acciaroli. Its characteristic landmarks include the "Angioina" watchtower and a chapel from the late 19th century dedicated to the Madonna of Pompeii. If you're looking to stay along the coast, the "Dominella" residence is a good choice.

It's lovely to be away from the noise of the seafront, and there's a very handy sidewalk that takes you to the marina.
