Agriturismo Il Poggio

We stayed in Casa Olivo, among the olive trees, and the view was pure Tuscany, all the way to the sea. A fig tree made breakfast especially lovely, and the pool was spacious, clean, and well kept, with plenty of loungers. Our accommodation was simple and practical. There isn't much for rainy days, and there's no couch, but we had beautiful summer weather and didn't need one. The hosts were friendly, hardworking, and always there for guests. Casale Marittimo is five minutes away by car, with excellent restaurants. We'll definitely return.

Our room was clean and had what we needed for a self-catering stay. A wooden screen separated the sleeping area from the combined kitchen and living space, and breakfast was available if we wanted it. We spent a week here, with plenty to do whether we stayed by the pool, headed to the sea, or explored local culture. The drive to the coast is about 20 minutes, and the main road makes farther places easy to reach. For bigger grocery runs, I recommend the Coop in Cecine. The weekly set-menu dinner was a real highlight, with excellent antipasti, pasta, dessert, and the property's own wine and olive oil, all at a very fair price.

The whole agriturismo sits in lovely Tuscan scenery, the kind of view that helps you relax just by looking at it. The pool was large, beautiful, and clean, and the two owners were friendly and ready to help. We stayed in the separate little house about 500 meters from the agriturismo. It had a fully fenced garden and was wonderfully quiet, which worked especially well for us with a dog. Don't miss the Tuesday dinners at the agriturismo. They were excellent, as were the homemade jams, olive oil, wine, and other products. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!

The pool and its beautiful views make this a lovely spot to unwind. There are charming towns and villages nearby, and the sea is about a 10-minute drive away. Il Poggio has several types of accommodation for different group sizes. We stayed in a studio for two, which felt rather basic and could use some improvements. Covered parking is available, along with outdoor tables and a barbecue.
