The place was just as described, and we got a warm, helpful welcome with all the information we needed right away. It’s very quiet there, and the whole property was extremely clean. The pool was clean and a good size too. Everything we needed for a holiday was available. Padua city center is about 15-20 minutes away, depending on traffic. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

We had several problems with the security deposit, which the owner wanted in cash. The owner was nice, but when my father slipped in the shower, it seemed the cleaning product hadn’t been rinsed off and left the floor slippery. He said that couldn’t be the case. Later, the hair dryer shorted while I was using it and burned my hand. He said I’d pulled the cord too hard. It felt like we were blamed for everything. He took €50 off the deposit because my son cut a bush branch while playing football, but we never saw a receipt showing that he’d bought a replacement plant.

Guerrino and Antonella make you feel very welcome. They even leave a few basics like coffee, toilet paper, and dishwasher tablets, which saves you an immediate trip to the supermarket. The furnishings are lovely, with lots of care put into the details. Casalserugo also worked really well as a starting point for exploring Northern Italy. We’ve stayed twice already, and I’m sure we’ll be back.

The hosts are a real highlight: a friendly pair who had plenty of tips for places to visit. Padua is nearby and a lovely Italian city. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities, and the pool was beautiful. It’s a peaceful spot for a poolside break or a base for seeing Venice and other lovely cities in the area.
