Good.

The host family was incredibly kind and gave us lots of helpful tips. We had a really spacious apartment with two double bedrooms, a bathroom, and a balcony, and it was all very neat and clean. Some outlets were German standard and some Italian, but adapters were available for free. Wi-Fi and parking inside the fenced, gated property were free too. There was no full or half board, and no kitchen access, though we could use the family’s fridge at no cost and they even froze our ice packs. It’s a small, charming guesthouse, so don’t expect a four-star hotel. Breakfast was the usual Italian spread: Nutella, butter, honey, jam, coffee, tea on request, still water, juice, toast, biscuits, and individually wrapped cakes and croissants. We brought our own toppings and ate them, and nobody minded. It was very quiet at night. The landlady speaks excellent English and was lovely and accommodating. In Italy, we needed a bit of patience for the water to warm up and for our hair to dry with the provided dryer. We’re used to having more than one large sheet to cover us with in Germany. The stairs to the first floor are a bit of a challenge, especially with luggage, for anyone over 60. We’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone looking for a bed and breakfast. The photos are from the day we left. I only remembered to take them just before departure so I could upload them. When we arrived, the bed was neatly made and had a bedspread.

On-site parking was essential since you need to drive into the city, and we’ve saved this place for our next visit to the Padua area. The property was very clean and welcoming, and the owners were kind and ready to help with whatever guests needed.

It was lovely talking with Maria in Italian, good practice for me. She and her family were very kind, gave us good advice, and made us feel comfortable. Thank you, Maria. Best wishes from Anna and Hildegard.

I was staying there for health reasons, and when I came back from the hospital, the very kind lady looked after me like a mother and made sure I had everything I needed. Thank you again, ma’am. :)
