Il Novecento

The rooms were clean and the service was excellent. It’s a lovely hotel, with a relaxing atmosphere and lots of attention to detail.

We used the hotel as a base to see the region, and the train station was around 10-15 minutes away. Buses are available too. The atmosphere felt very family-friendly, and the staff were helpful. There were a few small communication hiccups, but both sides made an effort, and someone who spoke English was always around. Most evenings were pretty relaxed: pizza, some wine, and then bed. The pizza wasn’t Neapolitan style, with thicker dough, but it tasted good and had quality ingredients and good olive oil. We also caught the wine festival while we were there, which was lucky, and we’d probably come back if we had the chance. The hotel could use a little refresh, though nothing we came across was a serious problem. Breakfast was fairly limited compared with a lot of hotel buffets, with a little sweet and savory food, plus quite good coffee.

The hotel itself is almost a work of art, and my room was tidy and nice. I first stayed at Novecento in 2020, or maybe 2021, and came back with my mother and sister in spring 2025. The rooms had seen major upgrades since that first visit. We stayed for more than a week while I recovered from a medical intervention, so I spent most of that time near the hotel to regain my energy. The staff put in a little effort that made me feel at home, and the whole stay was great. I also had my best risotto with asparagus there, along with amazing tiramisu. In the evenings it was nice seeing locals gather for their usual Spritz aperol and being able to mingle with them.

The meals really stood out, and the staff were attentive and friendly. With comfortable, well-equipped rooms and good service, Hotel Novecento is a great option for travelers who want comfort and quality.
