Hotel Cascia Ristorante

We were a family of three, including our 8-year-old, who was using a wheelchair because of a twisted ankle, when we stopped for lunch around 2 PM on 2 May 2025. There was plenty of room on the front patio, where another family was eating. A dark-haired, middle-aged woman came out after a few minutes and split up the table arrangement. That was fine, but she left without bringing us a menu. I read the one on the wall, picked our dishes, and went inside to get service. A few tables indoors were occupied and being served, so we waited outside for a waiter. After another five minutes, a younger employee came out and told us to leave because the restaurant was closed. There was no explanation or apology, just a rude order to go. Was it because we were Polish, because our child was in a wheelchair, or both? The service was appalling. That's no way to treat people, especially customers ready to spend money. It didn't spoil our visit to Cascia, though. We drove to Assisi, where the service and meal were fabulous. Italy is amazing. There are plenty of places around that treat people with respect, so avoid this restaurant.
