B&B Alciliegio

Carlo was a huge help when I got a puncture the evening before our stay. Our car had no spare tire, and I was nearly stranded in the village. I asked the owner, who brought out a cabinet full of professional tools, and his wife drove me to the nearest tire shop. About an hour later, the car was fixed. Thanks so much, Carlo. We'll come back. We stayed one night at B&B Alciliegio on the way to our holiday destination. It's in the small village of Casnate Con Bernate, about 10 minutes from the Como centre town exit. You can access the rooms from either side, which gives the place a classic Motel feel that we really liked. The gated parking is right outside the rooms, so there's no need to haul your luggage far. The rooms are a little small, but very clean and look recently renovated. We had a pleasant stay, and breakfast was stunning. I loved sitting outside in the morning sun with my coffee. Rooms, service, cleanliness, and location all deserve 4-5 stars.

We first stayed here in May 2018. We know the area from breaks on our drives from Germany to Italy or southern France, and we'll definitely return. It's a superb B&B and a great place to split up a drive into Italy. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful, and breakfast was the best part. There's a lovely garden with a beautiful view, sometimes reaching the 4000s like monte Rosa when the weather is clear. The kids can see rabbits, and there's a huge terrace, old walnut trees, and secure parking right beside the house. The new building has excellent bathrooms and nice beds. The only downside is that it books up fast, and there are just three rooms, though they're big.

We visited last August when it was 30 degrees. The hosts made us feel very welcome and were friendly and helpful throughout. Our room was pleasant and clean, and the bathroom was spotless and comfortable. There was no air conditioning, though they were planning to install it soon. Breakfast was delicious, with freshly cut meat, tasty fruit, and lots of options. I'd suggest adding some regional specialties and a bit more variety in the bread. Definitely somewhere I'd return to.

It's a new building in a residential area, with mountain views. The place has a warm, family feel despite its modern style. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and friendly, and breakfast was fresh and tasty, especially the coffee. The rooms and bathroom were possibly the cleanest I've ever seen.
