The outside of the property looks amazing, but the inside is another story. The place feels old, the bathroom tiles are cracked, and there's no window or any other ventilation in the bathroom. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable, and the wool blanket was old. There was nobody around to help at any point, so it felt like a ghost property. I won't return or recommend it.
The apartment smelled, the bed was awful, the pool was dirty, and street noise from cars and trucks carried inside. We booked through Airbnb, but the place looked nothing like its photos, so we felt misled, and it was highly overpriced. When we raised our complaint, the host, Samantha, was dishonest, rude and unprofessional. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here.
A handy base for seeing Tuscany, with lots of places to visit nearby and two towns close by. Bring whatever you might need. The pool was okay, and our room was nice apart from having a lot of humidity.
We booked through Airbnb and ended up in a worn-out two-person apartment. The living room in the photos had no resemblance to the one we got, and the listing showed all living rooms with access to a private balcony or patio, which ours didn't have. When we raised this with the host and owner, they responded with insults and worse. I've traveled around the world for many years and never encountered such unprofessional behavior. We had to get Airbnb customer service to settle the dispute. Sad, really. Consider yourself warned.
Francesco always gave us a friendly, welcoming reception. The apartments are rustic, in a converted farmhouse and outbuildings in the countryside, yet tourist spots like Sienna and San Gimignano are nearby.
