One of the loveliest holidays I’ve had with my family. 🥾🤗🧢🌴

The place felt fairly quiet and safe, and the staff were always available with the information I needed. Online check-in was quick, and we got into our room before the scheduled time. The price was reasonable. The rooms are perhaps a little small and somewhat dated, but I’d still recommend them for a stay of a few days.

We’ve been staying for a few days each August at the Sibari Resort dei Laghi di Sibari for three years. The first two years there was a reception for check-in, and the pool was open. This year, August 2024, neither service was available. Instead, guests get into the hotel and their rooms using codes sent beforehand by WhatsApp message and video. Double and twin rooms are on the first floor. Since there were three of us, we booked a triple room, also on the first floor and only reachable by stairs. It would be useful to bring back reception and have staff help guests with their bags, especially those staying upstairs. Like last year, there was no kitchen this year, so you couldn’t get breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the hotel. The rooms were cleaned well, and the housekeepers were kind and helpful. There’s an empty mini-fridge in each room, since the property has no bar, only coin-operated vending machines. Rooms have air conditioning and mosquito nets. Only the first-floor rooms have a small balcony with a drying rack. I hope some of the missing services, like breakfast, reception, and the pool, return in the coming years.

The room was very clean, but the shower taps and sink were covered in limescale. I wouldn’t recommend this place for people with food allergies. They paid little attention and seemed to underestimate the problem, even though I was told at booking that there would be no issues. Communication between the hotel and beach resort was poor, and I ended up paying twice for parking that was already included in the agreed price. We chose full board, but the staff seemed to treat it like a burden. Guests ordering à la carte were treated differently from us.
