I spent a delightful night and dawn in Castagnito, a village most people don’t know. Beauty can turn up in unexpected places, and I’m grateful for this little interlude. The apartment was comfortable and clean, and Marivanna’s warmth and familiarity made me feel welcome. The village itself charmed me, as did the people I met. Mr. and Mrs. Carlo were so friendly and full of stories that they even invited me into their home. Then Fulvio offered me peaches and coffee and showed me where to go for photos of the magnificent view. We chatted in the early morning over a lovely sunrise above Monviso, talking about life, love, family, and anecdotes. He told me about his hobby of researching the origins of dynastic surnames in the archives. A sailor from the mountains, with eyes as blue as the sky, he’s growing a white beard so he can sign up as the next Santa Claus.

This was our second visit, and we rented all three apartments for two nights with family and friends. It felt magical, almost outside of time. Marivanna is as charming as the house, always ready to help and available without ever intruding. Her radiant smile puts you at ease like a gift. Everything about this agriturismo is beautiful and of perfect quality, and the price seems unbeatable. We wholeheartedly recommend it and are already looking forward to returning. Thank you again.

A good choice for staying in the area. Everything was clean and had what we needed, and Mrs. Ra welcomed us kindly and was very helpful.
