Daniela greeted us herself with so much warmth and grace, and that care comes through in the whole stay. At Agriturismo Podere Assolati in Montenero d'Orcia, this is an actual working family farm that welcomes guests, and the family takes obvious pride in both the farm and their hospitality. Their products are excellent, and you can see and taste the quality of their work. The accommodations are in an old Tuscan farmhouse that was converted from a barn, with the upper floor made into comfortable living spaces. The building’s history adds a lot of charm. It’s rustic and reflects real farm life, rather than a luxury boutique hotel with satin sheets and modern finishes. If that genuine agricultural setting is what you’re after, you’ll love it here. We wanted an authentic experience, and Podere Assolati gave us one that felt memorable, with its hospitality, surroundings, and quality products. One thing to keep in mind is that the road is tricky in places, so a car with some clearance would be useful. We had no trouble getting through in a standard car. Highly recommended for a true Tuscan farm stay!
