Breakfast felt warm and personal, with the owners keen to chat and connect with guests. The owner served it himself, saying it was to make sure hygiene standards were met. We understood why, though being served this way left us feeling a little watched; letting guests serve themselves while keeping hygiene measures in place might feel more comfortable. The hotel itself was charming and full of history, with an interesting collection of historical artifacts that gave it the feel of a medieval village. We had a memorable, authentic stay and enjoyed our time at this unique place despite that small breakfast concern.
