B&B Parco dei cavalli

I’d recommend this B&B if you want peace and quiet, a beautiful view to wake up to, a tasty rustic dinner, and a warm welcome. The rooms and shared spaces have modern comforts but still feel old-fashioned. Just bear in mind what it offers: if you want a five-star city hotel, this isn't the place. My very positive rating is for the amenities it does have.

The horses are a big part of the place. The owners have four gentle ones, and with their help you can approach them and take pictures with the children. There are other sweet, cuddly animals around too. Since it's in the countryside, do expect some insects and small creatures, and remember to respect the animals. We used it as a base for visiting local amusement parks and would come back on another trip to the area. It's a beautiful spot, far from city noise, with a lovely view over the Bologna plain. The owners are friendly, enjoy a chat, and are ready to help with any problems. The style is rustic, with no Wi-Fi, air conditioning, or TV. The simple room and ensuite bathroom were very clean, the bathroom has a large shower, and the bed was comfortable. Sheets, towels, slippers, and soap were provided. Breakfast was excellent and just the right amount to start the day. We stayed in summer and enjoyed eating it outside.

I've been coming back for two years and plan to keep doing so. The owners are so hospitable, and the place is surrounded by greenery with an incredible sense of peace. Breakfast has everything you'd want from an Italian spread, but the freshly made ciacci with prosciutto and the homemade desserts are the real highlights. Delicious! The owners are friendly too.
