The hosts are very welcoming, and the villa has a good location and magnificent views across Tuscany. There’s a large terrace, and every bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet. The pool is quite far from the villa, which is safe for children. For a family holiday, though, it didn’t really work for us. There are no shops within walking distance, so a car is essential. Air conditioning costs extra, the kitchen isn’t equipped, and the villa is dated and could use an update. There are no games or activities, and the living room is so large that it feels empty and uncomfortable. It might be ideal for a reception or seminar.

Christina is captivating when she tells you about the history of her farm and the region. It’s a typical agriturismo among olive groves, with a very warm welcome in the heart of Tuscany.

Everything was great, apart from the room having no air conditioning.
