The mountain setting above the river is enchanting, and the rooms are simple but have what you need, including a private bathroom. Covered parking is included. The restaurant serves delicious food in generous portions, and Mrs. Dalila, Mrs. Isabella, and the whole staff are kind and welcoming. They really make you feel at home. Well done, everyone!

The spa treatments, the food, the bed, and the spaces were all excellent. This is just right for people who care about substance instead of passing frills. Congratulations to the whole staff, and well done.

The Santa Maria spa is very clean, and the place has a distinctive look, with two neighboring thermal baths that seem like castles perched on a hill. It’s set into the rock face, with one dining room indoors and another by the Garigliano River. There’s a nearby picnic area and a walk through the greenery, though those are maintained by the municipality. The river dock is close, but there’s no safety barrier despite the currents. Along the public riverfront there are no benches, recycling bins, fountains, or parking shelters, and there isn’t even a bowling green, let alone a paddle tennis court. It’s a good spot for thermal mud baths, but space limits mean there’s no actual thermal pool. The rooms are basic and have a single bathroom. Upgrades are needed, but work hasn’t started because permits are delayed.

I’d only been there briefly before, accompanying friends who were staying, and after many years I booked again so my wife could try the clay baths. I hope it goes well for her. After our stay at the Terme Santamaria Hotel, I can say we had a pleasant holiday. Thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome.
