La Casa nel Borgo

The breakfast table was set with exquisite handmade doilies, and the furnishings, paintings, and fabrics all came together in a timeless way. There wasn’t a hint of plastic. You can feel the class, taste, and care in every detail at La casa nel borgo. We spent a night in this fairytale-like home filled with art. Our room had a four-poster bed and a window over the inner courtyard, looking onto a stunning garden. Two attentive, caring staff members were ready to help with anything we needed. We’ve stayed in many B&Bs, but none quite like this. Enjoy the magic.

Breakfast was served in a room overlooking the garden, with homemade treats from Emanuele. His cakes and cookies were delicious, and the orange marmalade was unforgettable. Everywhere in the house, you can see the care and beauty in the details. The rooms and breakfast room are tastefully furnished, with Sergio’s background as an antique dealer showing through. La Casa nel Borgo is a special place. Sergio and Emanuele welcomed us into their wonderful home and made us feel surrounded by beautiful things throughout our stay. We’ll be back!

Right on the banks of the Oglio River, this is a uniquely peaceful place. The Italian breakfast was simple and delicious, and our spacious, comfortable room had a good bed and everything we needed. The B&B is very elegant, in a 19th-century building that was likely a former manor house. The owners were truly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it!

Sergio gave us a warm, generous welcome and was very attentive, including with all his great tourist advice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast is delicious. The house is decorated with beautiful furniture and antiques. I really enjoyed the weekend in this lovely region.
