Borgo Ai Lecci

We came back for a second stay at Borgo Ai Lecci, which says a lot. The accommodation is superb, and the pool is beautiful. It’s near the town and its restaurants, with Florence, Pisa, and Lucca all within driving distance. Franco and his family made us feel very welcome again.

We’ve already started planning another visit, even though we’re still in Italy. Staying with Franco and Sonia was a highlight of our month, and we liked it so much that we added an extra night. Our home was Villa Limonaia, a beautiful place with the master bedroom looking out over the pool. It was just the two of us, but the large living area means a family could stay there easily. Franco’s wife had carefully arranged everything and left lots of useful items to make us comfortable. She also offered to cook dinner, and the Tuscan food she made was at restaurant quality. The location works perfectly for trips to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Vinci, and Siena.

We were a group of 13 with a baby, and had a wonderful time at Borgo Ai Lecce. We’re so glad we chose it. The grounds were huge, with a volleyball court, a soccer field, and lots of spots to relax by the pool in sun or shade. We spent hours swimming. Every room had air conditioning, and the house was well equipped. Franco was always ready to help, whether we stopped by or sent him a message. We arrived in Orentano at the end of July 2025 to a warm welcome from Franco. He showed us around and explained what we needed to know. The house was spotless and looked beautiful, with a full fruit bowl and a small cake waiting for us. The care in the details was lovely. Planning had started back in May 2024, when we found Borgo Ai Lecci online while looking for a large house for 14 people in summer 2025. Franco replied quickly with prices, dates, and options. Later, changing the dates because of work was no problem, and he answered all our questions promptly by email.

Franco was full of helpful advice and gave us a warm welcome. We only wished we could have stayed longer in this peaceful spot. The estate is beautifully kept, with lovely grounds and a swimming pool. Our apartment was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and well equipped, with garden furniture and a barbecue. They’d thought of the little comforts too: welcome cakes, cold drinks, wine, and enough supplies for a delicious breakfast. It’s well placed for visits to Pisa, Florence, Lucca, San Gimignano, and the surrounding area. The estate also offers a house for 14 people with a private pool, plus children’s games, foosball and ping-pong tables, exercise bars, and goals for ball games. A wonderful discovery, run with care by Franco and Sonia.
