Villa Griffoni Historic Residence

Fresh, tasty breakfast, friendly staff, and free parking on site. The whole place is behind a gate in a private area. Awesome place.

Absolutely fantastic!

The room was stifling all night, and we got no sleep. There was no air conditioning or usable fan. The ceiling fan only made noise, and the rooms weren’t ventilated well. The shower door was broken and wouldn’t slide, and there were mold spots on the ceiling. The building itself is beautiful and clearly has a lot of history, but I can’t say the same for the rooms. We’d booked a different room type, but it wasn’t available when we arrived. That was manageable; the heat was the real problem. For what we paid, the stay would have been fine without that unbearable heat. The owner or manager’s welcome was cold, almost annoyed. We’d paid ahead and were there for just one night, so we left it at that.

The owners are exceptionally kind and helpful, and breakfast is varied, generous, and truly wonderful. It’s one of the best B&Bs in the area. The property is a beautiful old patrician residence, renovated with great care. The rooms are huge, and some feel almost like private spaces.
